Job summary

The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) is seeking a skilled Salesforce Developer to join the Application Development Team. You will design, develop, test, and deploy scalable Salesforce applications using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components, collaborating with stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.

  • Undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems with 36 mos. combined work experience, including 12 mos. in the primary technology as listed by the position description.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable Salesforce applications using Apex, Visualforce, and LWC.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Ensure architecture, design patterns, coding standards, and processes are followed.
  • Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback for maintainable code.
  • Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Lead and support all phases of the software development lifecycle including testing and deployment.
  • Troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance and user experience.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation including specifications and user guides.

Job Overview: The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) is seeking skilled a Salesforce developer to be part of our Application Development Team. As a Salesforce Developer, your responsibilities will include:



  • Designing, developing, testing, and deploying scalable and secure applications on the Salesforce platform using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and other Salesforce technologies.

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into effective technical solutions.

  • Ensuring adherence to best practices in architecture, design patterns, coding standards, and development processes.

  • Conducting code reviews and providing constructive feedback to ensure high-quality, maintainable code.

  • Managing multiple priorities efficiently while meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment.

  • Leading and supporting all phases of the software development lifecycle, including unit testing, system integration, user acceptance testing, and deployment.

  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.

  • Maintaining comprehensive documentation, including technical specifications, user guides, and training materials.

  • Staying current with Salesforce platform updates, new features, and industry trends; proactively recommend enhancements and improvements.

  • Collaborating with administrators, analysts, and other developers to ensure seamless integration with other systems and platforms.

Supplemental Information

The Ohio Department of Medicaid does not provide employment-based visa sponsorship.


On call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Required to carry a cellular phone as assigned. Required to work occasional overtime as assigned.
