Job summary

POET is seeking a software engineer to design, develop, and deliver high-quality applications. You will work with cross-functional teams to meet business needs and act as a subject-matter expert for key applications.

You will develop code independently, perform unit testing, and contribute to documentation and estimates. Experience with MVC/Blazor/.NET Core is a plus, and relocation benefits may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of OOP, .NET, C#, ASP.NET, and Visual Studio.
• Experience with SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Understanding of SDLC and Windows operating systems.
• Experience in software testing and QA.
• MVC, Blazor, .NET Core, Web APIs, and JavaScript a plus.
• MS SQL Server experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, modify, document, and deliver high-quality programming.
• Collaborate with developers on projects with multiple system interactions.
• Understand tech requirements for business process efficiencies.
• Evaluate, analyze, and prioritize requirements; design options.
• Deliver software solutions on time; act as SME for applications.
• Develop code independently while guiding senior developers.
• Perform unit tests to validate code functionality.
• Prepare project documentation and deliver to managers.
• Provide development effort estimates for new projects.
• Coach junior developers on coding standards and processes.
• Define user experience for new and existing applications.
• Lead more experienced developers and advocate for user-centric design.
