Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Junior DevSecOps Engineer to support Naval programs in Dahlgren, VA. The role focuses on developing, integrating, testing, and deploying software for DoD weapon and sensor systems using Agile, Scrum, and DevSecOps principles.

Responsibilities include design and validation of software in C/C++, Java, and Python; end-to-end engineering lifecycle involvement; collaboration with government partners; and maintenance of secure CI/CD pipelines with Git, Jira, and code analysis

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering, science or technical field.
• Two years of relevant technical experience or U.S. Navy combat/systems exposure.
• Experience with Navy systems and DevSecOps pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement software in C/C++, Java, and Python.
• Full lifecycle development from requirements to deployment.
• Maintain secure CI/CD pipelines and code analysis.
• Collaborate with government/industry partners on system functionality.
• Support testing, TRRs, and integration events.
• Engage with customers on technical progress and system impacts.
