MORTCAPITAL LLC is looking for a motivated Junior Loan Processor & Operations Associate to join our Brooklyn/Queens team in NY. You will review applications from submission to closing and help manage documentation, timelines, and office operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in mortgage processing or financial services preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple files simultaneously.
• Familiarity with loan origination software (Encompass, Calyx) is a plus.
• Solid understanding of mortgage guidelines and compliance requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Self-starter with a team-oriented mindset and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and process residential mortgage loan applications from submission to closing.
• Collect, verify, and organize borrower documentation including income, assets, and credit reports.
• Communicate with loan officers, underwriters, and borrowers to ensure timely loan progression.
• Maintain accurate loan files and update pipeline management systems.
• Order and track third-party services such as appraisals, title reports, and flood certifications.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state lending regulations including RESPA and TRID guidelines.
• Support daily office operations and assist senior staff with administrative tasks.
