Daimler Truck North America in Detroit, MI is seeking a Mechanical Product Design Engineer I to join the Detroit Transaxle Mechanics & Fluids team. This onsite role focuses on validation of transmissions, axles and their fluids, and supports design, test and release of global powertrain technologies for the North American market.

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 0–2 years relevant industry experience in powertrain or automotive tech.
• Ability to manage multiple hardware projects and inform management of barriers.
• Strong communication and analytical skills; self-starter and organized.

Responsabilidades

• Create and manage DVP&Rs for clutches and transmission development programs.
• Analyze data, draw conclusions, and provide recommendations to management.
• Coordinate validation plans with global and regional teams.
• Plan and support tests for clutch, transmission, axle and PT systems.
• Document project work and communicate results to stakeholders.
