Jacobs Solutions Inc. is hiring an Entry Level Mechanical Engineer (Energy/Power) in Cary, NC. You will join a growing Energy & Power Solutions team, mentored by engineers, to evaluate client energy needs, develop concept plans, and drive designs through to implementation.

You’ll contribute to studies, modeling, and design for decarbonization projects, with cross-functional collaboration and a strong emphasis on problem solving and communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in mechanical or related engineering field.
• EIT or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional global team.
• Internships in design/consulting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide consulting, advisory, conceptualization, and design through studies, engineering calculations, modeling and simulation, drawings, and specifications for energy and power projects.
• Perform piping/equipment sizing, flow modeling, energy analysis, life cycle cost evaluations, stress analysis, and digital twinning.
• Engage with clients to assess energy needs and develop concept-level plans and solutions.
• Work from concept through detailed design to implementation in an end-to-end lifecycle service.
• Collaborate across disciplines in a hybrid office/field setting.
