Job summary

Allient Inc. is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our core engineering team in Salem, Oregon.

You will work closely with an experienced engineer, participating in every phase from concept to manufacturing and contributing to high-tech product development. You will create 3D models in SolidWorks, assist with design and assemblies, and help prepare manufacturing drawings while supporting prototypes and tests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or graduating within the next few months).
• Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated with a willingness to ask questions and learn.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
• Experience with machining or fabrication.
• Knowledge of GD&T.
• 3D printing or prototype experience.
• Internship or Formula SAE, Baja, robotics, or similar engineering project experience.

The Junior Mechanical Engineer will be a part of the company's core Engineering team! We're looking for a motivated Junior Mechanical Engineer to work directly alongside an experienced mechanical engineer in a hands-on product development environment. This isn't a large corporate engineering role where you'll spend months doing one small task. You'll be involved in every phase of the engineering process—from concept through manufacturing.
