Job summary

GRVTY is seeking an Associate/Junior Systems Engineer to support multi-team efforts on satellite ground systems. You will translate operational needs into MBSE artifacts, interfaces, and software requirements while growing your skills in SysML, MBSE, and agile collaboration.

You will work with engineers to decompose requirements, maintain architecture models, and define acceptance criteria for user stories in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 2+ years of engineering experience or Master’s with 0–1+ years.
• Foundational knowledge of satellite systems, ground segments, C2, or mission operations workflows.
• Exposure to MBSE principles and SysML diagramming.
• Familiarity with data formats (JSON/XML) and interface protocols (HTTP/REST).
• Experience using Jira/Confluence for tasks and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Decompose requirements, concepts, and workflows into functional requirements and use cases.
• Maintain architecture models using SysML tools and link elements to requirements.
• Join agile team activities and help define acceptance criteria for user stories.
• Document interface protocols, data schemas, and ground segment communications.
• Draft test steps and map tests to system requirements with testers.
• Attend TEMs, document actions, and contribute to customer decks.
