Citi in Tampa, FL is seeking a Junior Legal Counsel for Markets Contracts Negotiations to provide legal guidance to the Markets Business with emphasis on ISDA and OTC derivatives contracts and the contract lifecycle from drafting to execution.

The role requires practical knowledge of financial services laws and a proactive approach. You will collaborate with internal teams and external counsel, ensuring risk-aware decisions and compliance with Citi policies across geographies.

Competenze

• 0-2 years of relevant legal experience, preferable in financial services.
• Knowledge of international laws, regulations and practices affecting the business.
• Bar license in good standing to practice law.

Mansioni

• Provide legal counsel to the Markets Business and advise on legal matters impacting the business.
• Review documentation and governing provisions, summarize provisions and maintain records of negotiations.
• Cover ISDA contracts and other OTC derivatives and clearing documentation negotiations for global clients.
• Assist in evaluating proposals by applying institutional knowledge and risk appetite.
• Collaborate with internal lines of business, control functions and external counsel for coordinated outcomes.
• Identify and manage legal, regulatory and reputational risk, escalate appropriately.
• Ensure risk-aware decision-making and uphold Citi policies and ethical standards.
