Job summary

Benchmark in Minnesota is seeking a Product Engineer to lead New Product Launch activities and own manufacturing processes, materials, and tooling to meet customer expectations.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, analyze FMEA results, and support a 24/7 global operation as needed. 0-3+ years in electronics manufacturing required; degree in engineering preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or equivalent in engineering or technical field.
• Preferred 4-year engineering/technical degree.
• Experience in electronics manufacturing helpful.
• Ability to apply continuous improvement tools (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).

Responsibilities

• Leads manufacturing activities of assigned products through prototype, pilot, and production.
• Oversees the implementation of customer documentation changes and internal change orders.
• Acts in new customer development and new business development.
• Analyzes line return data to drive corrective action on manufacturing process issues.
• Performs product-level FMEAs as required.
• Participates in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen continuous improvement activities.
• Reviews engineering drawings and DFX reports prior to production release for manufacturability.
• Evaluates and qualifies new manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment.
• Leads internal and external corrective action plans.
• Follows all company policies and procedures.
