Job summary

Benchmark Electronics is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to provide liaison across design, procurement, assembly and quality to ensure a smooth transition from design to production. The role requires hands-on involvement in manufacturability reviews and continuous improvement initiatives in a high-complexity environment.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Engineering and-depth experience in production release, make/buy decisions, and cross-functional teamwork, with a strong emphasis on Lean

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in manufacturing engineering for high-complexity projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in cross-functional settings.

Responsibilities

• Attends design reviews and evaluates manufacturability for production readiness.
• Reviews engineering drawings for production release and compatibility with manufacturing tech.
• Evaluates make/buy options and advises on in-house vs outside vendor capabilities.
• Supports daily production monitoring and efficiency improvements.
• Leads or participates in Lean projects (5S, TPM, VSM) to reduce waste.
