El Car Wash is seeking a Junior Maintenance Tech to paint, repair, and refresh multiple Florida locations. You will partner with Maintenance Technicians on larger projects, support site buildouts, and maintain clean, safe work areas. This hands-on role requires attention to detail and pride in finished work.

Ideal candidates have experience in painting, drywall, carpentry or related trades, a valid driver's license with daily site travel, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs in Florida heat.

Responsibilities

• Paint interior and exterior surfaces; prep, prime, and finish.

• Follow OSHA, site safety protocols and use PPE as required.

Reports To: Area Director | Senior Maintenance Technician
Work Setting: Site / Field | Multi-Location

THE ROLE

As a Junior Maintenance Tech at El Car Wash, you keep our sites looking sharp and running right. You'll handle painting, surface prep, drywall, carpentry, and general repairs across multiple Florida locations, and partner with our Maintenance Technicians on larger projects, buildouts, and site refreshes. This is a hands‑on, project‑driven role for someone who takes pride in clean lines, solid fixes, and finished work. Show up, take ownership, and sweat the details, and you'll help make every location look and feel like Florida's #1 car wash.

What You'll Own

Painting & Finishes: Prep, prime, and paint interior and exterior surfaces. Patch, caulk, and sand for clean lines and full coverage. Keep brand colors and finishes consistent across every site.

Handyman Repairs: Handle drywall, carpentry, doors, hardware, fixtures, signage mounting, and general fix‑it work. Knock out punch lists and touch‑ups so nothing sits unfinished.

Project Support: Partner with Maintenance Technicians on larger projects, buildouts, and equipment installs. Stage materials, prep work areas, and keep projects moving on schedule.

Site Presentation & Upkeep: Keep equipment rooms, chemical storage areas, and tool inventory clean and organized. Support lot cleaning, tunnel detail, and minor structural repairs.

Safety & Compliance: Follow all OSHA, ECW, and site‑level safety protocols without exception. Use required PPE, follow ladder and lift safety, and handle paints and solvents per SDS guidelines.

Documentation & Communication: Log all work accurately in Wash Assist, complete tickets by priority, and keep your Tech leads and Regional Manager informed on project status.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU BRING

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. You'll travel between locations daily
• Hands‑on experience with painting and general repairs (drywall, carpentry, basic fixtures)
• Comfortable with hand tools, power tools, ladders, and paint equipment (brushes, rollers, sprayers)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work on your feet for extended periods, and operate outdoors in Florida heat
• Reliable, punctual, and able to manage a project punch list independently
• Prior experience in painting, drywall, carpentry, general contracting, or a mechanical trade is a plus
• Basic knowledge of surface prep, paint types, and finishes is a plus
