Job summary

Pratt Industries in Springfield, OH is hiring an Assistant Operator to support operating production machines. You will be involved in setup, operation, clean-up and quality checks, with opportunities to suggest improvements to the process.

This is a full-time, Monday–Friday position with overtime and occasional weekends, paying $17.87 per hour. Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED and be eager to learn; 6 months of manufacturing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 6 months of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in operating production machines and maintain maximum capacity and speed.
• Support setup, operation, cleanup and quality checks.
• Identify mechanical concerns and report to supervisor.
• Follow production schedule and learn machine operation, downtime, setup times and product quality.
• Complete necessary reports accurately and on time.
• Assist in slotting, feed and die cut setup on the machine.
• Monitor board quality and adjust as needed.
• Cross-train on other machines and adhere to safety and housekeeping rules.
