Job summary
Jacobs is seeking an Entry-Level Lighting/Electrical Engineer to join our team in St Louis, Chicago, or Madison. You’ll develop lighting-focused construction drawings and collaborate with architects, roadway engineers, and lighting designers using Revit, AutoCAD and Microstation.
The role offers mentorship, growth opportunities, and a hybrid work model. Requirements include a Bachelor's in Engineering, analytical skills, and US citizenship; EIT/FE credentials are a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
- US Citizenship is required.
- EIT or FE credentials.
- Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and/or Microstation.
- Experience in construction plan preparation.
- Experience with AGI32.
- Experience with roadway engineers, architects, interior designers and lighting designers.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of management within Jacobs.
Responsibilities
- Create construction drawings focused on lighting design for buildings and transportation projects.
- Coordinate with architectural designers or roadway engineers using Revit, AutoCAD and Microstation.
- Collaborate with team to deliver high‑quality lighting solutions.
- Support project delivery and compliance with applicable standards.
