Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Entry-Level Lighting/Electrical Engineer to join our team in St Louis, Chicago, or Madison. You’ll develop lighting-focused construction drawings and collaborate with architects, roadway engineers, and lighting designers using Revit, AutoCAD and Microstation.

The role offers mentorship, growth opportunities, and a hybrid work model. Requirements include a Bachelor's in Engineering, analytical skills, and US citizenship; EIT/FE credentials are a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • EIT or FE credentials.
  • Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and/or Microstation.
  • Experience in construction plan preparation.
  • Experience with AGI32.
  • Experience with roadway engineers, architects, interior designers and lighting designers.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management within Jacobs.

Responsibilities

  • Create construction drawings focused on lighting design for buildings and transportation projects.
  • Coordinate with architectural designers or roadway engineers using Revit, AutoCAD and Microstation.
  • Collaborate with team to deliver high‑quality lighting solutions.
  • Support project delivery and compliance with applicable standards.

Here's what you'll need

The base salary range for this position is $62,500.00 to $88,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
