The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is hiring a junior lifeguard to assist Senior Lifeguard staff and ensure pool safety. Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and certifications in Lifeguard, First Aid, CPR, and AED.
The position requires maintaining constant surveillance and providing emergency services. It includes additional benefits like retirement plans, free parking, and sick leave. A commitment of six months is requested after training.
The purpose of this class is to work with a Senior Lifeguard staff and assist in maintaining constant surveillance of the pools, render appropriate emergency services, and inspect the pool and report unsafe conditions. This position is a probationary position for the first six months of employment. Prior to employment the applicant must have completed and been certified by the American Red Cross in Lifeguard, First Aid, CPR, and AED.
Essex, Dundalk, Catonsville
American Red Cross training is available at no cost, and a $250 stipend will be awarded upon successful completion of the certification and a six‑month commitment to work at CCBC as a junior lifeguard.
Blood borne Pathogen training will be provided by CCBC after hire.
