Job summary

Southern Landscape Group Inc. in Central Virginia is seeking an Entry-Level Team Member to support the crew as they learn safety procedures, quality standards, and equipment operation.

No advanced landscaping experience required; candidates should be willing to learn, follow directions, and contribute to delivering exceptional client experiences. You'll participate in mowing, landscape care, installation, and seasonal work, with hands-on training to progress into more specialized roles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to use Apple devices for time tracking and job management.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Customer service skills and professional client interaction.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient job site.
• Ability to drive truck & trailer combinations.
• Team players with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Review daily job assignments with the Team Leader to understand work and property expectations.
• Follow directions while learning procedures, quality standards, and safe practices.
• Assist with mowing, edging, weed pulling, and bed maintenance.
• Assist with landscape installation activities and basic plant/turf work.
• Support hardscape tasks and learn construction tools under supervision.
• Operate basic hand tools and small equipment after training and safety checks.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized job site and report concerns.
• Work Monday–Friday with possible overtime during peak seasons.
