Job summary

Biamp in Beaverton, OR is seeking a motivated IT Support Technician I to provide first-tier technical support for desktop and mobile infrastructure. You will diagnose issues, perform troubleshooting, and assist users with Microsoft 365 and standard software in a Windows/macOS environment.

You will work under the IT Manager, assist with account setup, documentation, and minor projects while expanding your skills and contributing to team success onsite at Beaverton offices.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years in an IT support role.
• Associates degree in computer science, information technology, or related field preferred.
• Solid understanding of Windows and macOS operating systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
• CompTIA A+ certification preferred; additional certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Resolve user inquiries and technical issues via phone, email, and ticketing system.
• Perform thorough troubleshooting for hardware and software problems.
• Manage account setup, password resets, and access management.
• Escalate complex technical issues to higher-tier support personnel with proper documentation.
• Execute software installation and updates on end-user devices.
• Conduct regular maintenance tasks on computers, printers, and other peripheral devices.
• Maintain accurate inventory of IT equipment and supplies.
• Configure and deploy workstations for new employees.
• Create comprehensive documentation for technical issues and their resolutions.
• Implement established IT procedures and protocols.
• Participate in training to expand technical knowledge and skills.
