Job summary

Jobtailor in New York City is seeking a software developer/analyst to support analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise business applications. You will collaborate with senior developers, analysts, project teams, and business stakeholders to deliver technology solutions.

The role involves troubleshooting, user acceptance testing, documentation, and applying Agile or Waterfall methodologies. Travel up to 15% internationally/domestically is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, MIS, Software Engineering or related field
• 1+ years of relevant experience including internships, co-ops or academic projects
• Foundational knowledge of software development, lifecycle methodologies, databases and application support
• Experience with C#, .NET, VB.NET, Python, JavaScript, SQL, Angular, React, Asp.Net, HTML/CSS or similar technologies
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with GitHub, Azure DevOps or similar source control tools
• Exposure to modern web development and component-based UI frameworks
• Interest in AI-assisted development tools and related AI coding assistants

Responsibilities

• Support the analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise business applications
• Collaborate with senior developers, business analysts, project teams, and business stakeholders to deliver technology solutions
• Troubleshoot issues and contribute to application enhancements
• Engage end users and business stakeholders throughout the implementation lifecycle to understand, validate, and deliver requirements
• Participate in application development, systems integration, and user acceptance testing activities
• Support planning, configuration, development, scheduling, execution, issue management, and scope coordination
• Document, prioritize, track, and resolve application defects and project issues
• Apply Agile, Waterfall, or similar application lifecycle methodologies
• Participate in requirements gathering, documentation, and solution design
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot application components under supervision
• Support application deployments and production issue resolution
• Create and maintain technical documentation and support materials
• Collaborate with business users and project teams to improve processes and applications
• Follow development standards, security requirements, and change management processes
• Continuously learn new technologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Travel up to 15% internationally/domestically, including overnight stays
