Job summary

N26 is seeking an iOS Engineer to join the Everyday Banking Payments Team in a hybrid role from Barcelona or Berlin. You will work on high-volume, secure transactions and contribute to a modern iOS stack.

You will collaborate with product, customers and stakeholders, own quality through tests, participate in the iOS community, and drive end-to-end delivery across the production lifecycle while expanding your skills.

Qualifications

• Strong Swift & iOS SDK expertise with concurrency, memory management, and local data persistence.
• Architectural awareness: MVVM, VIPER, or Modular Architecture in large-scale codebases.
• Quality-first mindset with unit and integration tests for critical app workflows.
• Collaborative attitude in an agile, cross-functional environment.

About the Opportunity

You will work in the Everyday Banking domain, within the Payments Team. This is where all payment and card transactions are being managed and processed by modern & high-volume systems that power the best customer experience possible. These teams make banking easy, reliable, seamless and secure - everyday for every customer.

This is a hybrid role from Barcelona or Berlin.

Our cross-functional teams are passionate about collaboration and sharing knowledge, as well as working with a high degree of autonomy. As an iOS Engineer at N26, you will be encouraged to embrace the latest technological updates and given a platform to work on complex, interesting problems on a daily basis.

In this role, you will:

• You’ll be part of a high performing team building technologies that make banking more human.
• You will proactively work on improving the iOS tech stack and ensure high quality standards

What you need to be successful:

• Strong Swift & iOS SDK expertise, with a deep understanding of core concepts like concurrency, memory management, and local data persistence.
• Architectural awareness: Experience working with modern architecture patterns (MVVM, VIPER, or Modular Architecture) in large-scale codebases.
• Quality-first mindset: Hands-on experience writing robust unit and integration tests for critical app workflows.
• Collaborative attitude: Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset that thrives in an agile, cross-functional environment.
