Job summary

N26 in Berlin is seeking a developer for the Everyday Banking domain within the Payments Team. You will work on high-volume systems that power a seamless customer experience, in a hybrid setup from Barcelona or Berlin.

You will discovery, design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software, while managing priorities in a collaborative environment and staying current with technology trends. Visa support for relocation is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing software using a JVM language and Spring Boot in large-scale production systems.
• Sound understanding of microservice architecture.
• Knowledge of both relational and non-relational databases, preferably Postgres.
• Appreciation of working in a modern cloud architecture, preferably with AWS.
• Strong bias for action and getting things done.
• Ongoing appreciation and consideration for security.
• Motivation to write code which is well-tested and well-documented.

About the opportunity

You will work in the Everyday Banking domain, within the Payments Team. This is where all payment and card transactions are being managed and processed by modern & high-volume systems that power the best customer experience possible. These teams make banking easy, reliable, seamless and secure - everyday for every customer.

This is a hybrid role from Barcelona or Berlin.

In this role, you will:

• Do discovery, design, develop, test, deploy and maintain software in a thriving environment.


• Manage individual project priorities and deliverables while working in a team that enjoys knowledge sharing sessions.


• Stay up to date with the latest trends in technology.


• Propose new findings during our GSDD (Get Stuff Done Days).

What you need to be successful:

• Experience in developing software using a JVM language and Spring Boot in large-scale production systems (note: experience of Kotlin would be a plus).


• Sound understanding of microservice architecture.


• Knowledge of both relational and non-relational databases, preferably Postgres.


• Appreciation of working in a modern cloud architecture, preferably with AWS.


• Strong bias for action and getting things done.


• Ongoing appreciation and consideration for security.


• Motivation to write code which is well-tested and well-documented.


• Ability to give and receive open, direct, and timely feedback.
