Job summary

N26 Inc. is seeking an IT Solutions Engineer (Google Cloud) to serve as the primary architect, engineer, and guardian of our Google Workspace and Google Cloud Platform ecosystem.

You will bridge productivity, identity, and cloud infrastructure with a strong focus on automation and security across a global workforce. You will design scalable enterprises, implement automated workflows via Python/JS, and drive the adoption of Gemini Enterprise while ensuring compliance with data retention and audit

Qualifications

• Deep, hands-on experience administering Google Workspace at enterprise scale and solid knowledge of GCP services (IAM, Service Accounts, VPCs).
• Proven ability to automate IT workflows using Python, JavaScript, or Google Apps Script and REST APIs.
• Practical experience using Terraform to manage cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of modern identity management, SAML/OIDC, and zero-trust models.
• Experience configuring Chrome Enterprise for secure enterprise use.

Responsibilities

• Architect and manage Google Workspace lifecycle, GCP project structures, OUs, Cloud Identity, and Chrome Enterprise across the company.
• Build automation workflows to reduce manual overhead and integrate Workspace with internal tools and HRIS.
• Lead rollout and optimization of Gemini Enterprise to boost productivity with AI capabilities.
• Design and enforce DLP, Context-Aware Access, and BYOD security policies balancing security and UX.
• Own Google Vault data retention policies, legal holds, and data exports for audits and regulatory needs.

About the opportunity

As an IT Solutions Engineer (Google Cloud) within N26 Internal IT, you will be the primary architect, engineer, and guardian of our Google Workspace and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) corporate ecosystem.

We aren’t looking for traditional system administrators. We need a modern, engineering-focused professional who treats our Google environment as a programmable platform. You will bridge the gap between corporate productivity, identity management, and cloud infrastructure—ensuring our global workforce is secure, highly automated, and empowered by next-generation AI integrations.

In this role, you will:

• Infrastructure & Governance: Manage the full lifecycle of our enterprise Google Workspace organization. Design and maintain complex GCP project structures, organizational units (OUs), Cloud Identity, and Chrome Enterprise across the company.

• Automation & Development: Eliminate manual overhead by building robust, custom automation workflows. Leverage Google Apps Script, Python, and REST APIs to seamlessly integrate Workspace with internal tools, HRIS platforms, and Identity providers.

• Next-Gen Productivity: Lead the rollout, adoption, and ongoing optimization of Gemini Enterprise, driving organizational productivity through emerging AI capabilities.

• Security & Compliance: Design and enforce Data Loss Prevention (DLP) rules, Context-Aware Access (CAA), and secure BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) policies that balance "Security first" with "Employee Experience."

• eDiscovery & Compliance: Serve as the technical owner for Google Vault. Define and manage data retention policies, execute precise legal holds, and lead matter-based exports to meet strict financial regulatory and audit requirements.

What you need to be successful:

• Google Workspace & GCP Expertise: Deep, hands-on experience administering Google Workspace at an enterprise scale, combined with solid foundational knowledge of GCP (IAM hierarchies, Service Accounts, VPCs, and Organization Policies).

• Automation Mindset: Proven track record of automating repetitive IT workflows using Python, JavaScript, or Google Apps Script, and interacting with RESTful APIs.

• Infrastructure as Code Skills: Practical experience (or strong familiarity) using Terraform to manage SaaS or cloud environments.

• Security & Identity Focus: Deep understanding of modern identity management, SAML/OIDC protocols, and Zero Trust security architectures (specifically Google’s Context-Aware Access and BeyondCorp models).

• Chrome Enterprise Management: Proven experience configuring Chrome as a secure enterprise browser, including the deployment of Chrome Enterprise Premium security controls.

• Analytical & Compliance-Minded: Familiarity with compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, SOC2) and the operational workflows of Google Vault for legal and audit discovery.

• Collaborative Spirit: Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical requirements into user-friendly solutions for a diverse global team.

Nice to Have

• Professional Certifications: Google Cloud Professional Collaboration Engineer, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, or equivalent security certifications.

• Fintech Experience: Experience working in highly regulated industries (banking, fintech, or healthcare) with stringent data governance requirements.
