Job summary

H MART is seeking an Office Interior Designer at our Lyndhurst, NJ headquarters. The role focuses on supporting design reviews, drafting construction drawings, and coordinating FF&E documentation for commercial and retail projects.

Requires a Bachelor’s in Interior Design/Architecture and 1–3 years in related fields, with proficiency in AutoCAD and basic drafting. Some travel within the US may be needed; bilingual English/Korean is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of related experience in interior design, architecture, retail design, or commercial design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D design software with basic drafting skills.
• Basic understanding of interior construction drawings, including finish plans, elevations, reflected ceiling plans, and finish schedules.

Responsibilities

• Support design review and proposal development for H Mart commercial and retail projects.
• Prepare and revise interior design packages, construction drawings, and detail drawings.
• Assist with material selection, furniture layouts, lighting selection, and FF&E documentation.
• Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, consultants, and general contractors on assigned tasks.
• Maintain and update the internal library of materials, finishes, and vendor catalogs.
• Generate/Support high-quality 3D renderings and visualizations for internal design presentations.
• Monitor project progress and ensure design specifications are being followed during the construction phase.
• Organize and track project schedules, deliverables, and FF&E budgets to ensure timely completion.
• Participate in project meetings, site visits, and design reviews.
