As Junior Interior Designer, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of high-end residential projects providing project support and design input including the day-to-day production of various project needs to meet deadlines and advance projects. Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of design assignments, under the direction of senior designers, from schematic design through construction, administration and FF&E selections and installs.
- Assists in production of AutoCAD plans and elevations.
- Assists in the preparation and participation of presentations and meetings with clients and contractors.
- Site visits to communicate design intent, and perform field measurements, as well as to grow in knowledge and understanding of construction.
- Collaborates with contractors and vendors to communicate design intent for construction and fabrication of custom designs.
- Assists with item drop-offs/pick-ups to vendors and job sites.
- Creates and manages proposals for product and material specifications.
- Most importantly, you'll be equally responsible for making our clients feel comfortable and confident in the team’s ability to manage their project and ensure they, and you, have fun throughout the process!
Qualifications
- You must have a degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture.
- We would like to see a minimum of 1 year of work experience completed at an Interior Design and/or Architectural firm in the residential or hospitality design industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is a must, you’ll be spending a lot of time in there!
- You have to be task-oriented, organized and have great communication skills.
- Must be a highly collaborative team player.
- Quick learner who can navigate project management software (Studio Designer experience a plus, but certainly not a mandate).
- Possess strong customer service skills for interface with clients, vendors and contractors.
Commitment
- Full-time: Monday-Friday — 8:30am - 5:00pm
