The Senior Interior Designer is committed to design excellence, thrives in a collaborative environment, and has a passion for sustainability. What You'll Do
- Manage projects of all sizes and complexities, providing project team leadership.
- Participates in the design control of projects during design development, construction documentation, and supervision phases.
- Coordinate all phases of the design process through collaboration with clients, CID team, and industry partners within contracted budgets.
- Participate in all phases of design deliverables including conceptual, schematic, design development, construction documents, and administration, coordinating with CID’s FFE team.
- Lead and mentor team members throughout the design process.
- Participate in client presentations and coordinate with other design disciplines such as civil, architectural, structural, landscape, and MEP.
- Support project budget management, resource planning, and cost control.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or Architecture (from an accredited institution preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of experience as an interior designer within multi-family, commercial, and/or hospitality industries, with at least 3 years in multi-family.
- Highly skilled in AutoCAD and Revit (3–5 years used professionally).
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Suite (especially Photoshop), MS Office (especially PowerPoint), MS Project, etc.
- Experience with modeling software (SketchUp, Studios, Rhino 3-D, etc.).
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills with a good command of design and construction vocabulary.
- Knowledge of current products, design trends, building codes, systems, and construction methods.
- Familiarity with current material costs and specifications.
- Travel required.
