Job summary

Bottomline is seeking an Associate Infrastructure Automation Engineer in a hybrid work environment. This associate-level role emphasizes mentorship and practical engineering skills while supporting automation platforms and shared services.

You’ll perform basic Linux administration, respond to incidents, review logs, and learn Terraform, Puppet, Ansible, and related tools through hands‑on projects. Authorization to work in the United States is required.

Qualifications

• Basic Linux administration skills including CLI, permissions, services, networking, and Bash scripting.
• Strong problem-solving aptitude and structured troubleshooting.
• Willingness to learn unfamiliar tools, technologies, and processes.
• Clear written and verbal communication; ability to document steps taken.
• Collaborative mindset with teammates and internal customers.

Responsibilities

• Support infrastructure automation platforms and shared engineering services by responding to troubleshooting requests, alerts, on‑call incidents.
• Perform basic Linux administration, including checking storage and system status, accessing and reviewing logs, and running existing scripts.
• Learn the team’s automation tools, development practices, and operational processes through hands‑on work assignments, mentoring, and self‑directed learning.
• As experience grows, contribute to automation improvements, platform design, and increasingly complex technical problem solving.
