Job summary

Tanium is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and manage a hybrid infrastructure. You will automate deployments, scale systems, and collaborate with security, architecture, and product teams to drive reliable operations.

The role requires 4+ years in systems administration or SRE roles, with strong Linux/Windows, cloud, and IaC skills. Hybrid schedule includes in‑office work at Bellevue, WA area.

Qualifications

• Proven experience administering Linux, Windows, and VMware environments.
• Experience with Cloud Computing & Networking Environments: Azure (preferred), AWS, and GCP.
• Scripting in Bash, Python, and PowerShell.
• Experience with TCP/IP networking and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in backups, high availability, and resiliency for cloud and on‑premises tech.
• Familiarity with monitoring and enterprise systems management on physical and cloud infra.
• Experience with IaC toolsets – Terraform, Vault.
• Experience with configuration management – Ansible.
• Experience with SAN storage arrays and troubleshooting.
• Ability to estimate cloud usage costs and control spend.
• Familiarity with CI tools like GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes (ECS/EKS).
• Ability to collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, InfoSec, GRC, and product teams to drive decisions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business groups to architect and deliver tech solutions.
• Document and secure all configurations per best practices.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and incident resolution.
