Job summary

Edmund Optics in Cherry Hill, NJ is seeking a Solutions Engineer I - Imaging to act as a technical liaison for managed imaging customers and internal teams. You will evaluate RFQs, confirm feasibility, help close custom imaging opportunities, and coordinate across global manufacturing sites.

The role requires a engineering/optics background, solid understanding of imaging systems, and the ability to manage multiple projects while supporting sales goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, optics, physics, or hard science.
• Experience in technical/B2B sales preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish engineer-to-engineer relationships with Imaging customers and respond to technical questions.
• Facilitate custom imaging opportunities from managed and unmanaged accounts; assess feasibility and manufacturability.
• Review orders and terms for technical and quality requirements; coordinate with internal teams.
• Identify and communicate significant Imaging sales opportunities to sales teams.
• Generate formal price quotations following guidelines and margin goals.
• Collaborate with Solutions Engineers, Product Line Managers, and global sites on catalog and custom offerings.
• Support discussions on imaging system requirements including optical performance and integration.
• Attend industry tradeshows and visit customers with Outside Sales Manager to grow opportunities.
