Edmund Optics in Cherry Hill, NJ is seeking a Solutions Engineer I - Imaging to act as a technical liaison for managed imaging customers and internal teams. You will evaluate RFQs, confirm feasibility, help close custom imaging opportunities, and coordinate across global manufacturing sites.
The role requires a engineering/optics background, solid understanding of imaging systems, and the ability to manage multiple projects while supporting sales goals.

The Solutions Engineer I - Imaging Optics serves as a technical liaison between managed Imaging customers, internal sales teams, and Edmund Optics' global manufacturing and assembly sites for custom or modified optical components and imaging assemblies. This role provides technical sales support for managed and key unmanaged accounts, with a primary focus on evaluating imaging-related RFQs, confirming technical and business feasibility, supporting market-competitive pricing, and helping close custom imaging opportunities.
Working under established guidelines and direction, the Solutions Engineer I reviews customer requirements, coordinates with relevant internal stakeholders, and helps ensure that proposed solutions align with customer needs, manufacturing and assembly capabilities, quality requirements, and business objectives.

Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, optics, physics, or hard science; optics industry and/or manufacturing knowledge highly desirable; two (2) to five (5) years experience in technical and/or business-to-business sales environment is preferred.
Ability to operate office equipment such as a copier; ability to sit at desk or PC for long periods of time; work in office setting.

The actual offer will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, education, work experience, business needs, and geographic location.
$70,000 - $72,000 per year
