Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. in Millbrook, AL, seeks an Instrumentation & Controls Technician - Jr./Entry Level to join a dynamic controls team. You’ll assist with calibrations, maintenance, and field installations under supervision, gaining hands-on experience with PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.

The ideal candidate has an Associate's degree or equivalent experience, ability to read schematics, and a willingness to travel to client sites. The role offers growth, competitive pay, and benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience
• Able to read & interpret schematics, drawings and understand electricity & circuits
• Troubleshooting & calibrating control systems
• Troubleshooting and calibrating instrumentation (flow, pressure, level, temperature and transmitters)
• Set up instrumentation & calibrate using meters & tools
• Preventative & corrective maintenance
• Instrumentation installation background
• Experience with install and maintenance projects in automation of industrial processes
• Testing functions
• Experience working with PLCs, HMIs & SCADA systems including Rockwell/Allen Bradley, Wonderware, Siemens, GE Fanuc, Emerson DeltaV, Schneider Electric and/or Modicon
• Troubleshoot I/O's
• Experience in Municipal Water/Wastewater, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage, Cogen Plants, Data Centers, Packaging &Process Controls
• Experience working in the field at customer sites
• CCST and Fiber Optic certifications a plus
• Ability to work well independently
