Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a mid-to-senior-level Electrical Controls Engineer to design, develop, troubleshoot, and commission industrial automation and control systems in manufacturing environments.

This role involves hands-on work with PLCs, HMIs, drives, and motion control, and requires strong communication with customers and cross-functional engineering teams. The ideal candidate has experience with PLC programming, HMI development, industrial networks,

Qualifications

2+ years hands-on automation/controls experience.
Experience with motion control systems and electrical control panel design.
Ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs, and engineering drawings.
PLC programming, HMI development, and industrial networks knowledge.
Strong communication and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot automation and control systems (PLCs, HMIs, drives).
Develop automation architectures and control system designs.
Design and support electrical control panels and motion control applications.
Analyze system requirements and develop automated manufacturing solutions.
Perform startup, commissioning and field troubleshooting at customer sites.
Interpret schematics and drawings to support implementation.
Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and customers to meet deadlines.
Provide technical support for complex automation issues.
