Job summary

AlexandHR LLC is seeking a Junior Human Resources Consultant to support multiple client organizations with day-to-day HR operations and compliance projects. The role involves working under senior staff, taking ownership of tasks, and delivering practical HR solutions across diverse industries, including government contractor compliance.

Based in Madison, Alabama, with some travel to Huntsville, this on-site W-2 position offers a flexible schedule (30–40 hours per week) and a 90-day training

Qualifications

• Approximately 3–5+ years of progressive HR experience in generalist, operations, or compliance roles.
• Strong knowledge of core HR practices and federal/state employment laws.
• Experience with government contractors or familiarity with OFCCP requirements preferred.
• Experience with HRIS, payroll, ATS, or other HR tech platforms.
• Ability to interpret HR requirements and translate into practical processes.
• PHR/SHRM-CP or similar HR certification preferred or obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR generalist support for day-to-day operations and compliance projects.
• Serve as a client-facing point of contact for assigned HR matters.
• Assist with OFCCP obligations, affirmative action planning, and reporting.
• Draft, review, and maintain employee handbooks and HR policies.
• Support recruiting, job descriptions, offers, and onboarding.
• Support HRIS implementation, data maintenance, and process improvements.
• Maintain confidential client and employee records and track deliverables.
