Job summary

Fourth Floor in New York City is seeking a Junior Designer to join our home textiles team, focusing on bath and bedding products. You will collaborate with sales and buying teams to create presentations and drive design concepts from idea to production.

Work with the Design team to develop artwork, communicate with vendors, create design specs, and maintain an organized file system while staying current with trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Design/Textile Design or relevant field
• 1–3+ years of home design experience
• Experience with weaving and understanding how fabrics are woven and dyed
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Excel; excellent communication skills; strong organizational and analytical abilities

Responsibilities

• Designing bath/bedding products
• Create presentations for internal and external meetings by working with sales and buying teams
• Work with Designer to develop all artwork needs (concepts, layouts, repeats, colorings, coordinates, etc.)
• Communicate with vendors to accomplish product designs
• Create design specs and standards for production
• Maintain an accurate design file system of ongoing projects
• Update the Product Manager with current status of design projects
• Reviewing and approving samples to meet shipping deadlines
• Stay up to date on current design trends
