Qualifications

• Previous Junior High Coaching experience preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Supervisory and sports management experience.
• Clear criminal history check, physical, and drug test required; first aid training.
• Alternatives to the above qualifications may be found appropriate and acceptable by the Board.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a high degree of integrity as the Jr. High Asst Coach representing the program to Capac community.
• Maintain open communication with parents, student-athletes, and the community, and provide information.
• Teach fundamental skills and team concepts of wrestling.
• Assist in off-season, summer, and pre-season training and preparation programs; knowledge of strength and conditioning practices.
• Interact with student-athletes of different ages and abilities professionally, promoting character and integrity.
• Motivate, guide, and mentor student-athletes.
• Comply with District procedures and Board policies.
• Promote school spirit and team.
• Collaborate with staff, students, and parents.
• Perform the physical demands of the position and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
