Qualifications

• ISBE teaching certificate or ASEP certification
• IHSA concussion and PED test completed
• CPR/AED Certified
• Valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities

• Follows and maintains knowledge of all District policies and procedures.
• Assists in organizing meetings for team prospects and encourages participation in the sport.
• Assesses players’ strengths and weaknesses.
• Plans and coordinates efficient practice schedules for individual and team development.
• Coaches and instructs players on rules, equipment, and techniques.
• Observes players to identify needs for improvement and creates development plans.
• Assists in determining game strategy based on team capabilities.
• Maintains behavior standards and supervises athletes at all times.
• Monitors academic performance to ensure eligibility.
• Encourages students to maintain high academic standing.
• Assists in injury procedures and communication with guardians.
• Follows district regulations for athletic programs.
• Models sportsmanship and proper conduct towards players, officials, and spectators.
