Qualifications

• Valid Michigan School Teaching Certificate or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Exhibit qualities of leadership and organizational ability and reflect a spirit of cooperation in working with staff and school administration.
• Clear criminal history check
• Alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during meetings/activities, instructing on elections, and overseeing planning of activities, ensuring goals of meetings and activities are met.
• Develop and maintain a professional rapport with students, parents, staff, and the community and communicate directions clearly; handle problems in various situations.
• Model district policies and ethics, implement policy changes from administration or state/federal changes.
• Meet deadlines with flexibility and attention to detail; manage multiple demands from several people.
