Job summary

KingRecruitingServices is hiring a Junior Graphic Designer for licensed apparel in New York, NY. The role focuses on creating graphics for sleepwear and loungewear and gaining exposure to the full apparel development cycle.

You will work with senior designers and vendors to develop tech packs, ensure brand standards, and support packaging graphics. Proficiency in Illustrator is required, and Photoshop is a plus; strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fashion Design, Illustration, or related field.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator required; familiarity with Photoshop a plus.
• Strong visual design, creativity, and attention to detail.
• Interest in licensed merchandise and apparel product development.
• Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and cross-team collaboration.
• Eagerness to learn garment construction and manufacturing.
• Experience preparing tech packs or working with manufacturers is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Artwork & Graphic Development: Design graphics, prints, and patterns for licensed apparel.
• Technical Documentation: Prepare and maintain tech packs with artwork placement and measurements.
• Product Design & Development: Partner with teams to move concepts to production.
• Sample Evaluation: Inspect samples for accuracy, color, and placement; provide feedback.
• Team & Vendor Coordination: Work with merchandising and overseas manufacturing partners.
• File & Specification Management: Keep files and notes organized for repeat production.
• Packaging Support: Assist in packaging graphics and related documentation.
