Job summary

Tetra Tech, Inc. is seeking a Junior Geologist to support our Earth Sciences team in Pittsburgh, PA. You will assist with fieldwork, sampling, data interpretation, and reporting on environmental projects across geology and hydrogeology.

Ideal candidates hold a geology degree, 0–2 years of experience, and are willing to travel up to 50%. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology or a related technical discipline.
• 0–2 years of experience.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to ~50%.
• Field experience with soil logging, sampling, boreholes and monitoring wells.
• Experience with Phase I/Phase II ESAs is a plus; hazardous waste site work is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide entry/junior level field and technical support on environmental assessment, investigation, and remediation projects focusing on geology and hydrogeology.
• Plan, conduct, and supervise fieldwork, sampling, design, O&M, and report writing.
• Review progress and assist in proposals and qualification statements.
• Ensure work aligns with relevant regulations and internal procedures.
• Maintain safety and ongoing professional development.
