Job summary

Tetra Tech, Inc. is seeking a Junior Civil or Environmental Engineer in Pittsburgh, PA, with 0 to 5 years of experience.

The role supports a variety of public and private clients from planning through construction, working with project managers, engineers, and scientists on civil/environmental systems design, investigations, and remedial actions. The candidate will plan and supervise field tasks, conduct data analysis, prepare proposals and deliverables, and ensure compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field.
• 0–5 years of experience in the engineering field.
• Willingness to travel ~25%.
• Completion of EIT/FE exam preferred; working toward PE license.
• 40-Hour HAZWOPER training desirable.
• CADD experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D (alignments, profiles, cut-fill, surfaces, piping).
• Strong computer skills; knowledge of data evaluation software desirable.
• Experience with SpecsIntact/CSI desirable.
• Fieldwork capability and readiness to work extended hours on site.

Responsibilities

• Support civil/environmental projects from planning through design and construction.
• Plan and supervise field tasks: sampling and pilot tests; data analysis and reporting.
• Assist in proposals, deliverables, and client presentations.
• Perform engineering calculations and develop solutions for projects.
• Coordinate with project team, provide guidance to technicians and field personnel.
• Maintain compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards.
