Shannon & Wilson in Seattle is seeking an entry-level geologist to support exploration, sampling, reporting, and field observations across Puget Sound projects. You will perform field explorations, collect samples, interpret geologic data, prepare field reports, and interact with clients and subcontractors; travel to field sites locally and out of state about 80% of the time.

Formación

• BS degree in Geology or Engineering Geology; MS or PhD preferred.
• 0 to 6 years of geologist experience, including soil sampling.
• LG exam taken or prepared for.
• Puget Sound geology and glacial geology knowledge a plus.
• Geotechnical practice experience including earthwork observation a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Perform field explorations, collect samples, observe construction, map, and prepare field reports.
• Experience with various drilling techniques (hollow stem auger, down-hole bucket auger, rotary coring).
• Organize laboratory data and conduct soil index testing.
• Interact with subcontractors, clients, and staff at all levels.
• Assist with business development and cost proposals.
• Follow QA, Health & Safety, and Loss Prevention policies.
