Job summary

Arcadis U.S. Inc. in Sacramento, CA seeks an Entry-Level Geologist to join our Resilience Environment team for Summer 2027 start.

You will assist PMs and TMs in planning environmental site characterization, investigation, and remediation tasks, with fieldwork including drilling oversight and groundwater sampling. The role blends office tasks such as report writing, data analysis, and subcontract coordination with hands-on fieldwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's of Science in Geology, Engineering, or closely related field (i.e., environmental, biological, physical science).
• Master of Science in Geology, Engineering or closely related field (i.e., environmental, biological, physical science).
• Current OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers and Task Managers in planning and executing environmental site characterization, investigation, and remediation tasks.
• Conduct fieldwork including soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling; travel within the U.S. for up to two weeks at a time.
• Prepare subcontracts and oversee subcontractors; write technical reports, work plans, letters, and memoranda.
• Coordinate tasks, analyze data, estimate costs, prepare safety plans, and manage schedules and budgets.
• Support emergency response teams as required, including field work and travel.
