Arcadis U.S. Inc. in San Luis Obispo, CA is hiring an entry-level Geologist/Scientist or Environmental Engineer to join our Resilience Environment team. The role supports environmental assessment and remediation projects, with emphasis on emerging contaminants.

The position involves field investigations, data analysis, and collaboration with senior staff, with significant travel up to 75% in early years. Start date is January 2027.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Geology, Engineering or closely related field.
• Masters degree preferred in Geology or Engineering.
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training is preferred.
• EIT certification preferred for those pursuing engineering degree.

Responsibilities

• Assist field investigations, sampling activities, pilot programs and full-scale remedial efforts.
• Engage in face-to-face meetings with clients, technical teams and stakeholders.
• Participate in field and office tasks with periodic travel.
• Oversee remediation systems operation and maintenance and design/system upgrades.
• Contribute to site characterization, remedial design and feasibility studies.
• Support data compilation, QA/QC, report writing and permitting.
