Job summary

Visionist, Inc. seeks a Junior Full Stack Software Engineer to join a mission-critical environment supporting large-scale data platforms. You will implement and support AI model inference infrastructure under experienced engineers, and contribute to production AI services including RAG and autonomous agents.

The role emphasizes security, observability, and scalable solutions. You will work with modern technologies in a fast-paced setting, collaborating across teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Additional 2 years of experience may substitute degree).
  • 3 years of software development experience with multiple AWS certifications: AWS Certified Developer—Associate, AWS Certified Machine Learning—Associate, AWS Certified Machine Learning—Specialty, AWS DevOps Engineer Professional.
  • Familiarity with high-volume web application architectures and cloud engineering, preferably AWS.
  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes concepts and containerized deployments.
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly in fast-moving environments.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and support infrastructure for AI model inference under guidance of senior engineers.
  • Develop and maintain production AI services, including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and autonomous agents.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and observability for AI services.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Ensure availability, reliability, and performance of AI platform components.
  • Follow security best practices for AI systems and data.
  • Work in ambiguous problem spaces to define structured, scalable solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to engineering standards.
