Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a Jr. Software Developer with 2+ years of experience to design, code, and implement full-stack software for tactical systems.

This position requires on-site presence at NSWCDD or contractor facilities 3-4 days per week and eligibility for an active Secret clearance. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years in software engineering in lieu of a degree, knowledge of Java, Python, C#, C/C++, .NET, and front-end technologies like JavaScript and React.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications.
• 2+ years of software development experience with basic programming languages, technologies, tools, or web development stacks.
• Experience writing source code for new applications or enhancing code samples for existing applications.
• Experience using back-end and front-end languages to develop complete solutions.
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance or higher.

Responsibilities

• Write, modify, and implement source code for new full-stack applications and expand features within existing codebases.
• Develop end-to-end solutions using front-end (e.g., JavaScript, React) and back-end languages/frameworks (e.g., Java, Python, C#, C/C++, .NET, NodeJS).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and deliver features in Agile environments.
• Translate functional requirements into automated software solutions and replace manual processes.
• Utilize automated testing tools to write test cases and ensure system reliability.
