Job summary

Northland Securities seeks an Associate I, Fixed Income Trading Desk Support in Minneapolis, MN. The role provides foundational operational support to the Fixed Income Trading Desk, handling new issue deal workflows, trade processing, and settlement tasks under guidance.

Qualifications

1–5 years of experience in fixed income trading desk support, operations, or related function.
Licensing: FINRA licenses; SIE, Series 7, Series 63
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Support full lifecycle of new issue competitive deal workflows including DTCC eligibility, closing coordination, funds movement, and settlement support.
Assist closing coordination activities and learning closing call processes for greater responsibility.
Support daily trade flow processes including trade capture, comparison, and settlement under supervision.
Identify and resolve trade breaks, discrepancies, and settlement issues with Lead, Senior, and counterparties.
Support FINRA, MSRB, SEC trade reporting and maintain books and records in compliance with regulations.
