Overview

• Greenberg Traurig’s Financial Regulatory & Compliance Practice includes over 80 attorneys across the United States, Latin America, Europe, and Asia, serving domestic and international clients of all sizes in the banking and fintech industries.
• The role involves working on matters for banks, fintech companies, money services businesses, consumer and commercial lenders, and virtual currency payment platforms.
• Responsibilities may include researching legal and regulatory issues; preparing memoranda, regulatory filings, and client communications; and supporting matters involving licensing and chartering, new product development, mergers and acquisitions, bank partnership models, and third-party risk management.
• Important experience includes exposure to financial services laws and regulations such as BSA/AML, the Bank Holding Company Act, the International Banking Act, Dodd Frank, TILA, RESPA, Community Reinvestment Act, and consumer protection laws.
• Preferred experience includes interacting with federal or state financial regulators (e.g., Federal Reserve, FDIC, OCC, FinCEN, CFPB) or familiarity with their supervisory and examination practices.
• Professional proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
