Job summary

Intertek in San Antonio, Texas is seeking an Entry-Level Field Technician I to join our Professional Services Industries team. You will perform testing and site observations under supervision, assisting with soil and concrete testing and reporting results.

You will use drawings and specifications, document results, and work outdoors under varying weather conditions. The role may require overtime or night hours; Intertek offers medical, dental, vision, life, 401(k) with match, PTO, and tuition

Qualifications

Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.
Able to lift, move, push and pull 30–50 pounds frequently; over 50 pounds with assistance.
Works outdoors in adverse weather conditions; occasional climbs to various heights.
Willing to work overnight hours and off shift as needed.

Responsibilities

Operate testing equipment and conduct testing (soil, concrete, or other) and report results.
Refer to drawings, specifications, and diagrams for testing.
Perform observations of site activities and provide limited interpretation of results.
Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results.
