Job summary

Intertek is seeking an Entry Level Field Technician I in Pittsburgh, PA to join our PSI team. You will perform testing, observations, and site assessments under supervision, supporting civil and commercial construction projects.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, ability to travel up to 25%, lift up to 50 pounds, and outdoor work in varying weather. Training will build skills in data collection, reporting, and interpretation of drawings and specifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 6 months of construction related experience
• ACI Certification
• NECEPT Certification
• PennDOT Certification

Responsibilities

• Operate testing equipment and conduct testing (example: Soil, concrete or other) and provide assessment of data through reporting
• Utilize drawings, specifications, and diagrams
• Use specific methods and perform tasks to make detailed observations of site activities and give limited interpretation of results
• Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results
