Job summary

APTIM is seeking motivated entry level engineers to join our Federal Fueling programs. You will support design development, procurement, construction oversight, and commissioning across multiple projects with domestic and international field assignments.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Engineering (ABET) and strong communication skills. U.S. citizenship and ability to pass a background check are required; 10–15% travel and AutoCAD experience are a plus. Salary ranges around $70k–$75k per year.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to pass a government background check.
• FE and EIT candidates preferred.
• Willingness to travel 10–15% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret specifications, drawings, scopes of work, and field data for constructability and compliance.
• Prepare scopes of work, drawings, material lists, estimates, calculations, and project reports.
• Submit RFIs, review submittals, and select materials with coordination.
• Uphold standards from API, NFPA, ASME, ASCE, ACI and other bodies.
• Observe construction activities and verify compliance with codes and requirements.
• Work with subcontractors to clarify technical requirements and resolve field challenges.
• Maintain project documents to support regulatory and contractual needs.
• Gather productivity data for pipeline, earthwork, and concrete work.
