Job Overview
APTIM is seeking motivated and proactive entry level engineers to join a team of engineering professionals serving our Federal Fueling programs. Engineers will apply critical thinking skills to initial planning, procurement support, plan development, design, construction, and commissioning phases of projects. The position offers opportunities to grow professionally while solving engineering and construction industry problems. Engineers will typically serve projects in both the field (domestic and international assignments) and the office, as necessary. International locations include Europe, Japan, Guam, Diego Garcia, and other Pacific Island locations. As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay range for this position is $65,000 - $106,000 Per Year.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Review and interpret specifications, drawings, scope of work documents, and field data.
- Prepare technical documents including scopes of work, specifications, drawings, material lists, estimates, calculations, work method procedures, and project reports.
- Complete requests for information (RFI), review submittals, and select materials for projects.
- Gain knowledge and uphold industry standards from organizations such as the American Petroleum Institute, National Fire Protection Association, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, American Society of Civil Engineers, and the American Concrete Institute.
- Observe and ensure construction practices are compliant with federal, state, and local codes, industry standards, company procedures, and contractual requirements.
- Manage and organize approved required documents and information to support the successful completion of construction activities and requirements.
- Gather productivity data for pipeline installation, earthwork, concrete work, and other activities to support estimating activities.
Basic Qualifications
- BS Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be a US Citizen and able to pass a background check to gain access to government facilities
- Previous internship experience preferred
- FE and EIT candidates preferred
- Willingness to travel 10-15% of time
- AutoCAD experience preferred
